Fr. Edgar Javier, SVD, DWIMS founder, delivers Actus Academicus lecture for AY 2024-2025

Tagaytay City—In his Actus Academicus lecture titled "The Church is a Community of Missionary Disciples," Fr. Edgar G. Javier, SVD, founder and former director of the Divine Word Institute of Mission Studies (DWIMS), called on the Church to reexamine its mission.

The event, held last August 10, 2024, after the Mass of the Holy Spirit, was hosted by Fr. Antonio M. Pernia, SVD, the Vice Director for Studies at DWIMS, and concluded with an open forum moderated by Fr. Pernia.

The lecture was attended by students, faculty, staff, and alumni of DWIMS.

Tagaytay City—Students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Divine Word Institute of Mission Studies (DWIMS) gathered for the Mass for the Holy Spirit at the DWIMS Chapel last August 10, 2024, with Fr. Samuel N. Agcaracar, SVD, DWIMS Director, as presider and homilist.

Fr. Agcaracar’s homily resonated deeply with the attendees, offering a powerful message for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.

Members of DWIMS alumni association celebrate grand homecoming

Tagaytay City—The Divine Word Institute of Mission Studies (DWIMS) was filled with excitement and camaraderie last July 21, 2024, as members of the DWIMS Alumni Association gathered for their Grand Alumni Homecoming.

The event, themed "Rekindling, Reuniting, and Retelling the Burning Passion for Mission," brought together alumni, professors, donors, family, friends, and other esteemed guests for a day of celebration and reflection.
